Colours. Wedding Themes. Colour Schemes.

Hello you guys!!!!

So apparently I got a lot of reads for my Venue posts and I had a couple of you girls, one was from 'Vancouver' eh, asking me to do a posts just about wedding themes and colours.

Well, of course bride-to-be's! More gladly to. :)
Only because I LOVE themed weddings, coordinated colours, everything nice and pretty.

So let's start our very bright topic.
C O L O U R S

So ladies, if the wedding is not a combined event then take that change to display your very creative instincts.
Go crazy!
And when I say go crazy, what i really meant was, to explore the many thousands of colours available in the palette.

For instance, choose your favourite colour and have it compared to those secondary colours that fits well into the shade.

For example: If your favourite colour is PINK (mine too!)

Pink: Primary Colour
So how do you determine what are their Secondary Colour?
Well, you use the colour wheel.
Go Google it!

So for PINK, her secondary colours (pink has to be a girl, right?) are orange and yellow.

So when you bring them together, you get this. And this is just so, so, pretty. Gawd.

maybe something blue?

Or go high and low with gray, black and white?

So once you get that concept, you go crazy, again, it doesn't matter if your colours aren't in the wheel. Some prefers dark colours, well that's ok too. It is your wedding isn't it?
I have been to a wedding a year ago where the deco was burgundy maroon and mustard yellow. yes. just the mention of those 2 colours makes your imagination go wild doesn't it. but who would have thought those 2 colours would be able to come together and it kind of was nice, in an elegant sort of way. Very royal Bollywood and Victorian. I like it. Though i don't think it will work for me.
Maybe because I'm not a Maroon girl, or a yellow. Maybe.

So moving on, I actually took the liberty to come up with some colour schemes that I personally would want to have for my wedding. But of course I'm not doing it in a Cirque De Soleil tent, cause there's just too many. But for your reference. :)

So there's a lot of shades you can go for, and depending on your nature and choice, you can choose the,

1. Brights Collection
2. Neutral Collection
3. Regals Collection
4. Subtle Collection
Well, for me, I have decided to mix and match it.
My kinds are always those subtle ones but having to choose 1 that's pleasing to our guest eyes, I chose to have 2 brights and 1 subtle colour for my theme.

For my Wedding, I chose
Pastel Pink (depends really) Maybe Hot pink?

Turquoise Blue
And something on the shades of, off white, light beige, creamish nude kind of shade.
Had this problem with my invitations lady, my decor team, and the makcik who's baking my cake. She was the most confused one i tell you. Haha.
I really don't what's the exact colour lah. okay maybe cream nude. just not white. like those very white. I HATE that white.

So i don't know, what do you girls think? Hot pink or pastel pink?
But the end product has to turn out like this. Nothing short or less of this.

Haaaaaaaa. Gleamsgleamsgleams

Well, I hope you girls have somewhat grasp an idea for the colour theme of your wedding.
At the end of the day, It all depends on you :)

So GO CRAZY! Play with Colours!
Either way people are going to talk, whether you like it or not,
So might as well, yay? nay?

Lotsa pink! <3
